Resources

Accurate information is a powerful tool for successful intervention strategies at home and school. Northwest Georgia Healthcare Partnership is valuable special education resource. We evaluate the needs that parents have in working with their children and then recommend the resources relating specifically to the challenges they face.
Many of the special education resources that we recommend are ones that we have found helpful in working with children and young adults with special needs. These resources include information, web addresses, and literature on the following:

  • Autism
  • Asperger’s Syndrome
  • Pervasive Development Disorder
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Dyslexia
  • Dysgraphia
  • Anxiety, Depression and other mental health issues
  • Tourette Syndrome
  • Down Syndrome
  • Individual Assistance Plans (IAP or IAT)
  • Individual Education Plans (IEP)
  • School & Private Educational Based Assessments
  • 504 Plans
