North Georgia Healthcare Partnership is always prepared to support parents and schools by giving presentations and workshops that cover issues important to children with special needs. We offer a variety of presentations and workshops – each one designed for a specific audience including teachers and school administrators, as well as parent groups.

The mission of the Northwest Georgia Healthcare Partnership’s special needs services, is to provide information and training on scientifically validated, behaviorally-based treatments, interventions, and data for parents, teachers, and administrators who work with and care for individuals with special needs. In addition, we hope to promote awareness and training for all stakeholders including parents, teachers, administrators, and the community. The mission of special needs services is to increase functional skill development and decrease behavioral challenges to ensure individuals with special needs can live enriched, successful lives.

By providing engaging and informative workshops for parents, teachers, administrators, and individual schools, we can provide our students, teachers, and classrooms the support they need to ensure success for all students.

Many teachers struggle to find ways to support their students with special needs. While special education teachers do an amazing job supporting their teachers and students, often times there are not enough hours in the day to ensure accommodations and modifications are being implemented successfully. Northwest Georgia Healthcare Partnership’s special needs services, aims to provide this support for teachers and students in their individual classrooms. We are willing to provide classroom observations, attend IEP meetings, providing behavior management ideas, assist in classroom set up, and educate teachers how to use appropriate sensory integration in their classroom.
